Travelling to The Cuba

Take time daily stress and pressures of life to visit an exotic place is something everyone hopes. Cuba, with the fame brought by the government and the U.S. government clamps down on exports and tourism, is a country known more for its cigar and officers, other than as a holiday destination. Tourism in Cuba is currently at record levels.

Like many other Caribbean islands, Cuba’s main source of industrial tourism is the beach. The country is blessed with hundreds of miles of sandy beaches with white sand and turquoise water. Havana has its fair share of museums, including Museum of the Revolution, Havana Club Rum, the Cigar Museum, Ernest Hemingway Museum and the National Museum of Fine Arts.

In the north-west is the capital of Havana – the hub of all things Cuban. When you walk in the city, you will feel the essence of the Cuban past – a rich heritage that comes from the German colonial architecture, looking at the city. Parts of the city resemble the set of an old movie, reminiscent of the past, with old American cars bustling by. A lot of work done over the last decade the Old Havana, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO to repair, but many cities are affected and destroyed hundreds of buildings collapsed every month.

Santiago de Cuba is Cuba’s second largest city and located in the eastern tip of the island. It’s beautiful setting in the foothills of the Sierra Maestra and overlooking a beautiful bay. Unlike other cities in Cuba, Santiago de Cuba is a Caribbean flavor. The city is filled with cobbled streets and old buildings with tiled roofs and is a World Heritage site since 1988.
